The TROP ICSU project (https://tropicsu.org) envisions democratization of knowledge so that all humanity will invest their talent, skills, and ambition in a focused way to address the problems of climate change. TROP ICSU contains a repository of free-to-use and scientifically vetted educational resources and lesson plans from across the globe that integrate climate change understanding with topics in the curriculum of different disciplines. 

In this session, we will demonstrate how educators from all disciplines and countries can integrate climate change into their everyday teaching and equip their students with skills to develop innovative local solutions to this global problem.

About the organisers:

Rahul Chopra is the Director of the Centre for Sustainability, Environment, and Climate Change at FLAME University, India and an Associate Professor in Environmental Studies. He is the project director of a global climate change education project (TROP ICSU) of the International Union of Biological Sciences that aims to integrate climate change education in the curriculum across the world.

His interests are multidisciplinary and include curriculum development, the use of satellite data to evaluate our changing environment, historical GIS, among others.
