Landfills Mountains - Book reading by Rab Ferguson

Come join author Rab Ferguson reading his debut novel. In a world ravaged by the effects of climate change, sixteen-year-old Joe has been left with nothing but mountains full of junk.

-

There will be two sessions with Rab. The Saturday and Sunday sessions cover different topics, with different sections of the book read out.

Saturday

Join Rab, as he reads from his novel Landfill Mountains, about climate change and storytelling magic.

Following the reading, Rab will lead discussion and workshop activities around making writing about climate change engaging and accessible – whether that be fiction or nonfiction.

We’ll talk about the role narrative has to play in combating the climate crisis, and whether stories have the power to influence our future.

Those who want to join in with the discussion can, and it’s fine to attend just to listen too.

Sunday

Join Rab, as he reads from his novel Landfill Mountains, about climate change and storytelling magic.

Following the reading, Rab will lead discussion and workshop activities around telling stories that demonstrate the urgency of climate change.

We’ll talk about the communities most impacted by the climate crisis, and how we use both fiction and nonfiction writing to encourage immediate action.

Those who want to join in with the discussion can, and it’s fine to attend just to listen too.
